American Idol Jordin Sparks Signs To JIVE RECORDS- Album Due In November 20

Jive Records is gearing up to launch Jordin Sparks’ lead single, “Tattoo,” produced by the hit-making duo Stargate (Béyonce, Ne-Yo) and co-written with Amanda Ghost, whose impressive credits include James Blunt’s “Beautiful” and “Beautiful Liar” with Beyonce and Shakira.

“Tattoo” will be arriving at radio stations across the country on August 27th, and Sparks’ eagerly awaited debut album will be in stores in November. Currently, Sparks is wowing live audiences in a trek across the U.S. with other Season Six finalists on the Pop-Tarts American Idols Live! Tour. In between tour dates, she’s scheduled to appear on The Teen Choice Awards which airs live on FOX on August 26th.

The venue was moved to the Kodak Theatre instead of the CBS Studio Stage. Tuesday show is One Hour while the finale Wednesday shows is Two Hours. That excludes the Fox local pre-show (red carpet special), which many affilates will also air all over the US.

AI S6 Top 12 returns for a Music Medley. They’ve managed to clear some songs from the Beatles catalogue so its no brainer that it would be one or two songs for the group medley Wednesday.

Green Day will be the surprise guest on American Idol’s star-studded grand finale, airing Wednesday night, May 23. The band will be the last act of the night, following Smokey Robinson, Tony Bennett, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry and Gladys Knight.

The Final 3, Melinda Doolittle, Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis have a busy weekend ahead.

They’ll be filming hometown visits in the next couple of days. The video packages will be included on Wednesday’s results show. The Top 3 sing 3 songs on Tuesday–one they pick, one chosen by media mogul Clive Davis, and one chosen by one of the judges. Each contestant is assigned a judge who picks a tune for them.

Season 5’s #3 contestant, Elliott Yamin and , Maroon 5, both are slated to perform on a Wednesday show.

“American Idol” will raise the dead on Wednesday and feature a performance with Celine Dion and … Elvis Presley?! Also many portion of the Wednesday Idol Gives Back special was pre-taped days ahead so this could be AI’s most boring or anti-climactic show ever produced. Newscorp,  Fox parent company could have easily given out the 5 million dollars without asking their viewers to vote but then again, its PR marketing  for a season with a dwindling audience.

While “A.I.” teased their “Idol Gives Back” charity benefit by revealing that “two of the biggest stars in musical history come together,” sources at last week’s taping tell TMZ that Celine sang Elvis Presley’s hit, “If I Can Dream”.

Celine Dion is singing with a virtual Elvis Presley — in the vein of Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole’s “Unforgettable.”

At the taping, the remaining “Idol” wannabes also sang with Celine and Elvis, but as backup in the choir. Hallelujah!

“Idol Gives Back” will help raise money to fight extreme poverty in the U.S. and Africa, and feature artists like Gwen Stefani, Pink, IL Divo and Josh Groban.

Ryan Seacrest won’t be alone as Ellen De Generes will also co-host the Idol Gives back Wednesday 2 hour show.
